Alan Tern Yoke Cher, born on March 31, 1976, is an actor and businessman from Singapore. He worked as a full-time actor for Mediacorp, a big media company, from 2001 to 2011.

Starting Out in Show Business
Alan Tern was a finalist in the 2001 Star Search Singapore competition. After the show, he joined MediaCorp. He quickly started acting in TV shows like My Genie and The Hotel.
Notable Roles and Awards
Alan's acting in the TV series Double Happiness was very good. It earned him a nomination for the Best Supporting Actor Award at the Star Awards 2005. This award show celebrates the best in Singaporean television.
Leaving Acting for Business
Alan Tern decided to leave the entertainment industry in 2011. His last acting role was in A Song to Remember. He played a challenging character in that show. He mentioned that he wanted to focus on running his own business. However, he did not say he would never act again.
