Alan Tern Yoke Cher (born on March 31, 1976) is an actor and businessman from Singapore. He used to be a full-time actor with Mediacorp, a big media company in Singapore, from 2001 to 2011.

Early Life and Education
Alan Tern went to The Chinese High School and Hwa Chong Junior College. These are well-known schools in Singapore. Before he became an actor, he studied accountancy at Nanyang Technological University.
Becoming an Actor
Alan Tern started his acting journey in 2001. He joined a talent competition called Star Search Singapore. He did very well and became one of the finalists. After the competition, he joined Mediacorp as a full-time actor.
First Acting Roles
Soon after joining Mediacorp, Alan Tern got his first role. He appeared in a TV show called My Genie. He also acted in another show called The Hotel. These were his first steps into the world of acting.
Career Highlights
Alan Tern acted in many TV shows. One of his notable roles was in Double Happiness. His acting in this show was so good that he was nominated for a "Best Supporting Actor" award. This was at the Star Awards 2005, a big awards show for TV in Singapore.
Leaving Full-Time Acting
After many years as a full-time actor, Alan Tern decided to try something new. He announced that he would leave Mediacorp after filming A Song to Remember. In this show, he played a character who was an abusive husband. Alan wanted to focus on running his own business. He said he might act again in the future, but his business was his main focus then.

Alan Tern is married to actress Priscelia Chan. They got married on October 6, 2007. Today, Alan Tern runs his own business. It's an eyewear company called Acespex Vision.
