Albania is a town and municipality located in the Santander Department in northeastern Colombia. It was officially established on August 19, 1919. This area is known for its beautiful natural surroundings and unique weather patterns.
Climate in Albania
Albania experiences a tropical rainforest climate, often called "Af" in the Köppen system. This means it's warm and rainy all year round. The town is located at an elevation of about 1690 meters (5545 feet) above sea level.
Temperatures and Rainfall
The average temperature in Albania stays around 18.7 degrees Celsius (65.7 degrees Fahrenheit) throughout the year. This makes for a very consistent and mild climate. It doesn't get too hot or too cold.
Rainfall is quite high, with an average of over 2500 millimeters (98 inches) per year. The wettest months are usually April, May, and October. Even in the drier months, there's still a good amount of rain, which keeps the forests lush and green.
Humidity and Sunshine
The humidity in Albania is generally high, often around 86%. This is typical for a tropical rainforest climate. Despite the rain, the town still gets a fair amount of sunshine, especially in the mornings before the afternoon showers.
