Albert Brülls (born March 26, 1937 – died March 28, 2004) was a talented German football player. He was a midfielder who played for several clubs. Albert Brülls also proudly represented his country. He played 25 times for the West Germany national team. This included playing in two big tournaments, the 1962 FIFA World Cup and the 1966 FIFA World Cup.

Playing for Clubs

Albert Brülls spent many years playing for different football clubs. He was known for his skill and leadership on the field.

Borussia Mönchengladbach

From 1955 to 1962, Albert Brülls played for Borussia Mönchengladbach. He was a very important player for them. He even became the team's captain. In 1960, he led his team to a big victory. Borussia Mönchengladbach won the DFB Cup. They beat their rivals, 1. FC Köln, with a score of 3–1. This was a huge achievement for the club.

Playing in Italy

After his time in Germany, Albert Brülls made a big move. He became one of the first German players to play football outside West Germany. In 1962, he joined the Italian team FC Modena. He played there for three years until 1965. After Modena, he moved to another Italian club, Brescia, where he played until 1968.

Later Club Career

After playing in Italy, Albert Brülls moved to Switzerland. He played for Young Boys from 1968 to 1970. Later, he returned to Germany. He played for VfR Neuss from 1970 to 1972.

Playing for West Germany

Albert Brülls was a key player for the West Germany national team. He played for them from 1959 to 1966. He scored 9 goals in his 25 games for the national team.

FIFA World Cup Appearances

Albert Brülls played in two FIFA World Cup tournaments:
