Location of Albert Campbell Square in Toronto

Albert Campbell Square is a fun public square located in Scarborough City Centre in Scarborough, Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It's named after Albert Campbell, who was the very first mayor of the Borough of Scarborough. He also served as a major leader for the whole Toronto area.

You can find Albert Campbell Square at 150 Borough Drive. It's right next to the Scarborough Civic Centre. The square is also close to the Scarborough Centre subway station and the Scarborough Town Centre shopping mall.

What's Special About Albert Campbell Square?

Albert Campbell Square was designed to be similar to Nathan Phillips Square in Downtown Toronto. That square was built in 1965. Albert Campbell Square later inspired Mel Lastman Square in North York City Centre, which was built in 1998.

A cool feature of Albert Campbell Square is its outdoor ice rink. For many years, this was the only permanent outdoor ice rink in Scarborough. However, a new outdoor ice rink began construction at McCowan District Park in 2014.
