Albert Pahimi Padacké, born on November 15, 1966, is a politician from Chad. He served as the Prime Minister of Chad two times. His first term was from 2016 to 2018. He became Prime Minister again from April 2021 to October 2022.

Early Life and Education
Albert Pahimi Padacké was born in a place called Gouin, near Pala, in November 1966. He studied a lot and earned a master's degree in public law. He also got other degrees from the University of N'Djamena.
Political Career
Becoming a Minister
In the 1990s, Padacké worked as a government minister. He was first the Minister of Finance, which means he was in charge of the country's money. Later, he became the Minister of Trade.
In November 1997, President Idriss Déby removed him from his job. This happened because the President found him absent from work during a surprise visit.
Padacké returned to government in 2001. He became the Secretary of State for Finances. After that, he was named the Minister of Mines, Energy, and Oil. In August 2001, he became a Minister without a specific department until June 2002.
Joining Parliament
In April 2002, Padacké was elected to the National Assembly. This is like the parliament where laws are made. He represented the Pala area. He was a candidate for the National Rally for Democracy in Chad (RNDP-Le Réveil) party.
From 2002 to 2005, he was part of the Economic and Monetary Community of Central Africa. This group works on economic issues for countries in Central Africa. In August 2005, he was appointed as the Minister of Agriculture.
Presidential Election
In May 2006, Padacké ran for president in Chad. He was the candidate for his party, the RNDP-Le Réveil. He finished third in the election, getting 7.82% of the votes. After the results were announced, he congratulated the winner, Idriss Déby. Many main opposition parties did not take part in this election.
More Government Roles
Padacké continued to serve as Minister of Agriculture. In March 2007, he became the Minister of Justice. Then, in April 2008, he was moved to the position of Minister of Posts, Information Technologies, and Communications.
First Term as Prime Minister
On February 13, 2016, President Idriss Déby chose Albert Pahimi Padacké to be the Prime Minister of Chad. He served in this important role until May 2018.
Second Term as Prime Minister
After a period away from the Prime Minister's office, Padacké was appointed Prime Minister again on April 26, 2021. He worked under President Mahamat Déby.
On October 11, 2022, Padacké resigned from his position. This was part of a big change in the government after 2021. The next day, on October 12, Mahamat Déby appointed Saleh Kebzabo as the new Prime Minister.
Future Elections
On March 13, 2024, Albert Pahimi Padacké was chosen by his party, the National Rally for Democracy in Chad, to run for president again. He is a candidate in the presidential election scheduled for May 6, 2024.
