Albert Sanschagrin, O.M.I. (born August 5, 1911 – died April 2, 2009) was a respected religious leader from Canada. He was a retired Bishop of Saint-Hyacinthe, Quebec. At the time of his death, he was the oldest Canadian bishop in the Roman Catholic Church.

Albert Sanschagrin was born in Saint-Tite, Quebec, Canada. He dedicated his life to serving the church. He joined a religious group called the Oblates of Mary Immaculate.
His Journey as a Priest and Bishop
Albert Sanschagrin became a priest on May 24, 1936. This was an important step in his religious career.
Later, he was chosen to become a bishop. On August 12, 1957, he was named an Auxiliary Bishop for Amos, Quebec. An auxiliary bishop helps the main bishop in a region.
He was officially made a bishop on September 14, 1957. He then served as the Bishop of Saint-Hyacinthe, Quebec, starting on June 13, 1967. He continued in this role for many years.
Bishop Sanschagrin retired from his duties on July 18, 1979. He passed away on April 2, 2009, in Saint-Hyacinthe, Quebec.
