Alberto Herreros Ros (born on April 20, 1969) is a former Spanish professional basketball player. He was 2.00 meters (6 feet 6.75 inches) tall. Alberto played as a small forward. Many people think he is one of the best Spanish basketball players ever. He is also known as one of the best shooters.

He holds records in the Spanish ACB League. He has scored the most points and made the most three-pointers in the league's history. Throughout his career, he played for two famous teams: Estudiantes and Real Madrid. After he stopped playing, Herreros started working as a basketball executive for Real Madrid.

Winning the Championship

In 2005, Alberto Herreros played his very last game. It was the final match of the Liga ACB playoffs. His team, Real Madrid, was playing against TAU Cerámica. In the final seconds of the game, Alberto made an amazing three-point shot. This shot won the game for Real Madrid. It also made them the Spanish League champions! What a way to end a career!

During his time in the Spanish ACB League, Alberto played in 654 games. This is the 7th highest number of games played. He also spent 19,218 minutes on the court. This is the 2nd highest amount of playing time.

Alberto Herreros also played for the Spanish national team. He represented his country in many big tournaments.

In the 1998 FIBA World Championship, Alberto was the top scorer of the whole tournament. He was also chosen for the All-Tournament Team. This means he was one of the best players there.

A year later, in the 1999 EuroBasket, he was again the top scorer. He also made it onto the All-Tournament Team. His team, Spain, reached the final game and won the silver medal. He also won another silver medal at the EuroBasket 2003.

Alberto Herreros proudly played for Spain in two Summer Olympic Games. He competed in basketball at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics and the 2000 Sydney Olympics.

After Playing Basketball
