Story of Alegrijes y Rebujos
Alegrijes y Rebujos tells the exciting story of a rich old man named Don Darvelio. People say his big mansion is haunted by his ghost! A girl named Sofia has a tough time at home. She has a stepmother who isn't very kind and a brother who is often mean.
Sofia wants to find out if the ghost stories are true. She secretly goes into the mansion to get a picture of her mom, who passed away when Sofia was a baby. Inside, she meets Alfonso, who is related to the mansion's strange caretaker, Chon.
To their surprise, Sofia and Alfonso discover that Don Darvelio isn't really dead! He has been pretending to be a ghost for years. The old man finds a lot of happiness with Sofia and Alfonso. He calls them "Alegrijes," which means "Happies." These "Happies" are people who love life, never give up, share everything, and are always amazed by new things.
Sofia, Alfonso, and Don Darvelio have many amazing adventures. They share these adventures with other kids from the neighborhood, like Allison, Ricardo, Ernestina, Pablo, and even Sofia's brother, Esteban.
