A Star in the Making
Diego Boneta was born in Mexico City. His parents, Lauro González and Astrid Boneta, were both engineers. His mother was born in the United States to a Puerto Rican and Spanish family. Diego has two siblings.
Diego believes he got his musical talent from his grandfather, Otto Boneta, who was a songwriter. Even though Diego never met him, he feels a strong connection to his musical roots. Growing up, Diego split his time between Los Angeles, California, and Mexico City.
