Early Life

Aleisha Cline was born in Calgary, Alberta, on September 10, 1970. She spent her childhood growing up in Kelowna, British Columbia.

A Champion's Career

Aleisha Cline is one of the most successful skiers in the history of the Winter X Games. She shares the record for winning the most medals in skiing at this event, alongside other great athletes like Ophélie David and Magdalena Jonsson.

Her impressive wins at the Winter X Games include:

  • Gold medals in 1999, 2001, 2002, and 2003.
  • A silver medal in 2004.
  • A bronze medal in 2005.

Aleisha also showed her skill in the FIS Ski Cross World Cup. She won the overall title three times:

  • Twice during the 2003–04 season.
  • Once during the 2008–09 season.

She also finished second three times and third twice in the World Cup standings.

When ski cross became an official sport at the 2010 Winter Olympics, Aleisha decided to come out of retirement. She took part in a special test event held at Cypress Mountain Ski Area. Her very last World Cup race was in 2010, where she finished in an impressive second place.

Personal Life

Aleisha Cline has two children. She once took a two-year break from ski cross to focus on her family. Today, she lives in Squamish, British Columbia.
