Early Life and Beginnings
Aleisha Cline was born in Calgary, Alberta, on September 10, 1970. She spent her childhood growing up in Kelowna, British Columbia.
Amazing Ski Cross Career
Aleisha Cline is one of the most successful ski cross athletes ever! She shares a special record with Ophélie David and Magdalena Jonsson. They have won the most medals in skiing at the Winter X Games.
- Aleisha won gold medals in 1999, 2001, 2002, and 2003.
- She also earned a silver medal in 2004.
- In 2005, she won a bronze medal at the Winter X Games.
Aleisha also won the FIS Ski Cross World Cup three times! She won it twice during the 2003–04 season and once more in the 2008–09 season. She also finished second three times and third twice in this world cup series.
Olympic Dreams
When ski cross became an official sport at the 2010 Winter Olympics, Aleisha decided to come out of retirement. She took part in a special test event held at Cypress Mountain Ski Area. Her very last World Cup race was in 2010, where she finished in an impressive second place.
Life Outside of Skiing
Aleisha Cline has two children. She took a two-year break from ski cross to spend time with her family. Today, she lives in Squamish, British Columbia.
