Aleksandër Gabriel Meksi (born March 8, 1939) is an Albanian archaeologist and politician. He was the 28th Prime Minister of Albania. He served from April 13, 1992, to March 11, 1997.

Before becoming a politician, Meksi was an archaeologist. He was the first Prime Minister of Albania after the country stopped being a communist state. Meksi was a member of the Democratic Party of Albania. He started his term at the same time as President Sali Berisha. Berisha was also from the Democratic Party.

Before politics, Meksi studied and helped fix old buildings. These were mostly churches and mosques from the Middle Ages. Meksi resigned in 1997 because of financial problems in the country. These problems led to civil unrest. Even with his resignation, his government was one of the longest-serving democratic governments in Albania.

In 2009, Meksi became a leader of a group called the Pole of Freedom. This group was a mix of different political parties. Many people saw this group as a good choice for the 2009 elections. Meksi's return to politics was generally seen as positive by Albanians.
