Alessandro Andrade de Oliveira (born on May 27, 1973), known as Alessandro Cambalhota, is a Brazilian former professional football player. He played as a striker, which means he was mainly responsible for scoring goals. Alessandro played for many different clubs during his career and even represented the Brazilian national team once.

Early Career in Brazil

Alessandro began playing professionally in 1993 with Novorizontino. After that, he joined Vasco da Gama in 1995. He then moved to Santos in 1996, where he played for two years.

Playing in Japan and Portugal

In 1997, Alessandro decided to play football outside Brazil. He joined Júbilo Iwata, a team in Japan. He played there for a couple of seasons before returning to Santos in Brazil in 1998. In 1999, he moved to Europe to play for Porto in Portugal.

Back to Brazil and Other Countries

After his time in Portugal, Alessandro returned to Brazil. He played for Fluminense in 2000 and then for Cruzeiro from 2001 to 2002. He also played for Atlético Mineiro and Corinthians Paulista. Later in his career, he played for clubs in other countries like Al-Ahli Jeddah in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait SC in Kuwait. He also played for Denizlispor and Kayseri Erciyesspor in Turkey.

Later Years in Football

Alessandro continued his career back in Brazil with teams like Figueirense, Guaratinguetá, Noroeste, and Linense. He finished his playing career in 2012 with Novorizontino, the same club where he started.
