The Aleut language uses two main writing systems. One is the Latin alphabet, which is the same alphabet we use for English (A, B, C, etc.). The other is the Cyrillic alphabet. This alphabet is used in countries like Russia.
How Aleut Words Are Made
In the Aleut language, new words are often created by adding parts to a main word. This main word is called a "stem." The parts added to the end are called "suffixes." This is a common way to build words in Aleut.
