Alex Jacke is a talented singer and songwriter. He grew up in Los Feliz, a neighborhood in Los Angeles, CA. From a young age, Alex loved music, especially R&B and Hip Hop from the 1990s.

He also enjoyed soul, funk, gospel, rock, and pop music. Alex taught himself to play the piano. By middle school, he was already writing his own songs.

When he started college at Morehouse College, Alex knew music was his future. He spent his time writing songs and performing. He played at school events and other places around Atlanta.

During his second year of college, Alex appeared on the popular MTV show "My Super Sweet 16." He was a special guest performer for Christy, the daughter of DJ Spinderella and former NBA player Kenny Anderson.

His performance caught the eye of music producer Laney Stewart. Stewart invited Alex to work with him that summer. Alex decided to follow his dream. He left college at the end of his third year and moved back to Los Angeles.

Laney Stewart helped Alex a lot, just like he did for other famous artists. In 2011, Alex signed a worldwide music publishing deal. This deal was with Music Gallery/Universal Music Publishing Group.

Alex worked with Stewart and his production team, The Sharpshootaz. They spent early 2012 making Alex's first music collection, called an EP. This EP, named "D.F.M.", came out on July 9, 2012.

On Valentine's Day in 2013, Alex released a special "Deluxe" version of his "D.F.M." EP. It was simply called "D.F.M. Deluxe."
