Alex Wiley (born Alexander William Wiley on June 5, 1993) is an American rapper from Chicago, Illinois. He is known for his unique style of hip hop and has released several popular projects, including his first album Club Wiley and the Village Party series.

Getting Started in Music

Alex Wiley's interest in music started when he was in grade school and learned to play the violin. He soon began creating his own hip hop music.

During high school, he became part of a music group called "The Village." This group was like a small record label, helping artists work together and release music. Other members included Kembe X, Monster Mike, Isaiah Rashad, Jean Deaux, Spiff, and The Magician.

Making a Name in Hip Hop

In November 2015, Wiley released his album Village Party 2: Heaven's Gate. It featured guest artists like Chance the Rapper and Kembe X. The album was a big success and was ranked in the top 40 albums on iTunes.

Wiley has also collaborated with many other well-known artists, such as Hoodie Allen and Vic Mensa.

He was featured on a song by Chance the Rapper called "Grown ... Kid" in 2016. However, the song was not officially released on Chance's mixtape, Coloring Book, because of issues with getting permission to use parts of the music.
