Alexander Devine (born December 19, 1865 — died December 26, 1930), often called Lex Devine, was a British teacher and an activist who worked for Montenegro to become an independent country.

He started helping people early in his life. In 1887, he created the Lads' Club Movement. He also wanted to make public schools better. In 1896, he started Clayesmore School in Middlesex.

He worked as a special reporter for the Daily Chronicle newspaper. He reported on the 1906 Summer Olympics in Athens. He also covered the First Balkan War.

During the First World War, he helped organize aid for Montenegro and for Montenegrin refugees. In 1920, he was the Chairman of the British Relief Committee for Montenegro. He was very interested in the Tribes of Montenegro. He wrote several books about them. At one point, he was an Honorary Minister for Montenegro in London.

Alexander Devine was the uncle of George Devine. George was a famous actor and theatre director. He also founded the English Stage Company.
