Alexander Fraser, 19th Lord Saltoun facts for kids
Alexander William Frederick Fraser, the 19th Lord Saltoun (born August 8, 1851 – died June 19, 1933), was an important figure in Scotland. He was a Scottish representative peer, which meant he was chosen to represent Scottish nobles in the British Parliament. Alexander was the son of the 18th Lord Saltoun. He also received an honor called the Companion of the Order of St Michael and St George (CMG).

Family Life of Lord Saltoun
On July 7, 1885, Alexander Fraser married Mary Helena Grattan-Bellew. They had five children together. Their children were:
- Alexander Arthur Fraser, who became the 20th Lord Saltoun (1886–1979)
- Rear-Admiral Hon. George Fraser, who served in the Royal Navy (born 1887)
- Lieutenant Hon. Simon Fraser, who was a soldier in the Gordon Highlanders (born 1888, sadly killed in action on October 29, 1914)
- Brigadier Hon. William Fraser, also a military officer (1890–1964)
- Hon. Mary Alexandra Fraser (born 1891). She married twice:
- First to Lieutenant-Commander John Codrington (who died in November 1918)
- Second to Major Arthur Ramsay

Lord Saltoun Title
He inherited the title of Lord Saltoun from his father, Alexander Fraser, the 18th Lord Saltoun. He held this important family title from 1886 until his death in 1933. After him, his son, Alexander Arthur Fraser, became the 20th Lord Saltoun.
Grand Master of Scotland
From 1897 to 1900, Alexander Fraser also served as the Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of Scotland. This was a very high leadership role in a well-known Scottish organization. He followed Charles Dalrymple in this position, and after him, Hon. James Hozier took over.
