Ali Asghar Mounesan (Persian: علیاصغر مونسان) is an Iranian politician. He served as a minister in the Iranian government. He was in charge of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts. President Hassan Rouhani appointed him to this important role on August 13, 2017.

Early Career and Roles
Before becoming a minister, Ali Asghar Mounesan held several other significant positions. He was the head of the Free Trade Zone in Kish Island. This is a special area designed to encourage business and tourism.
He also worked as a general manager for different companies. One of these was Atisaz. He was also the general manager of the Engineering and Development Organization of the City of Tehran. This organization helps with building and improving the city.
Involvement in Sports
In 2014, Ali Asghar Mounesan joined the board of directors for Persepolis F.C.. This is a very popular football (soccer) club in Iran. Being on the board means he helped make important decisions for the team.
