Sardar Ali Mohammad Khan Mahar (born January 12, 1967 – died May 21, 2019) was an important Pakistani politician. He served as the Chief Minister of Sindh province from 2002 to 2004. Later, he became the Federal Minister for Narcotics Control from 2018 to 2019.
He was also a member of the National Assembly of Pakistan (Pakistan's main parliament) from 2008 to 2019. Before that, he was part of the Provincial Assembly of Sindh from 2002 to 2007.

Early Life
Ali Mohammad Khan Mahar was born on January 12, 1967. His father's name was Ali Anwar Khan Mahar. He completed his education and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree.
Political Journey
Ali Mohammad Khan Mahar had a long career in politics, serving in different important roles.
Becoming Chief Minister
In the 2002 Pakistani general election, he was elected to the National Assembly of Pakistan. He ran as an independent candidate from the area of NA-201 (Ghotki-II). In the same election, he also won a seat in the Provincial Assembly of Sindh.
On December 17, 2002, he became the 25th Chief Minister of Sindh. He held this important position until he resigned on June 9, 2004.
Serving in the National Assembly
He was re-elected to the National Assembly in the 2008 Pakistani general election. Again, he ran as an independent candidate from Constituency NA-201 (Ghotki-II) and won.
In the 2013 Pakistani general election, he was elected to the National Assembly for the third time. This time, he ran as a candidate for the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) from Constituency NA-201 (Ghotki-II).
He was elected to the National Assembly once more in the 2018 Pakistani general election. After winning, he decided to join the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party.
Federal Minister Role
On September 11, 2018, he joined the federal government under Prime Minister Imran Khan. On October 4, 2018, he was given the role of Federal Minister for Narcotics Control.
Ali Mohammad Khan Mahar passed away on May 21, 2019, due to a heart attack.
