Alisha Pradhan (born in 1993 or 1994) is an actress, television presenter, and businesswoman from Bangladesh. She became well-known when she was a teenager, appearing on television. Later, she starred in several movies, especially with Emon in director Chashi Nazrul Islam's last two films, Antaranga and Bhul Jodi Hoy. Pradhan stopped acting in 2017.

About Alisha Pradhan
Her Early Life
Alisha Pradhan was born to Monir and Hosna Pradhan. Both of her parents were businesspeople. She is the middle child of three, with an older sister named Faiza and a younger brother named Ryan. She grew up in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
When she was 8 years old, Alisha started learning classical dance. She studied at the Bulbul Academy for Fine Arts. Later, she also learned Western, Latin, and hip hop dance styles.
Starting in Show Business
In 2008, when Alisha was 14, she began her career in show business. Her first job was modeling for a TV commercial for Cova chocolate bars. Two years later, she appeared in another ad for Uro Cola, a Bangladeshi soft drink, with actor Riaz. She did a second commercial for Uro Cola with Emon in 2012.
While she was still in school, Alisha appeared in over 30 TV dramas and series. Some of these included NTV's Dakhinayaner Din, Fazlur Rahman's Swapnochura, Ferdous Hasan Rana's Dahan, and Mostofa Sarwar Farooki's First Date. In 2011, she performed a special dance number for a film called Noy Choy. She finished her school studies in mid-2012.
Her Film Career
Alisha Pradhan made a small appearance in the movie Eito Bhalobasha, which came out in early 2013. Around the same time, she became a presenter for the 2013 Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) cricket season.
First Main Roles
Director Chashi Nazrul Islam saw her presenting the BPL. He then asked her to star with Emon in his film Bhul Jodi Hoy. They filmed this movie in May 2013. While Bhul Jodi Hoy was being prepared for release, Alisha signed a contract for four films with Carnival Motion Pictures. This new company was run by her mother.
Antaranga was the first film under this new company. Again, Alisha starred with Emon, and Chashi Nazrul Islam directed it. In Antaranga, Alisha played two different characters. One was Tamanna, a traditional Bangladeshi girl. The other was Banya, a more independent and rebellious character. Filming started in December 2013. Director Islam passed away before finishing the movie. His assistant, Tarek Shikdar, completed it. Alisha's sister, Faiza, who had studied film, edited the movie.
Other Films
Filming for Alisha's third movie, Ojante Bhalobasha, began in January 2014. A J Rana directed this film. In it, Alisha played Kajol, a "simple middle-class female". In March 2014, she started filming Premer Kajal, another movie from Carnival Motion Pictures. She starred opposite Shipon in this film. As of 2021, Premer Kajal has not yet been released.
Antaranga was released in cinemas in November 2015. This was Alisha Pradhan's first movie where she played the main role. Bhul Jodi Hoy, even though it was filmed earlier, did not come out until January 2016. Antaranga did not do very well at the box office. After its release, director Shahin Sumon signed Alisha to star in his film Probashi Don with Symon Sadik. The plan was to film most of it abroad, but this faced problems with visas. As of November 2017, the movie was still being planned.
Ojante Bhalobasha was released in May 2016. The film did not earn much money. In December 2017, Alisha Pradhan announced that she was stopping her acting career.
Beyond Acting
As of 2018, Alisha Pradhan is the general secretary of the Bangladesh Heritage Crafts Foundation. This is a group that helps promote traditional crafts from Bangladesh. These crafts include special textiles like jamdani, woven mats called shital pati, and pottery.
In July 2019, Alisha Pradhan became the managing director of a new online TV channel called HerNet TV. This channel focuses on topics important to women's well-being. Her mother is the chairman of the company.
