Special Carved Panels
All Saints' Church is famous for two amazing carved panels. These carvings are from the early 14th century and are very detailed. They are thought to have come from the nearby Mattersey Priory, which was a type of monastery.
One panel, found on the east wall, shows a story about Saint Martin. He is seen sharing his cloak with a beggar. The other panel, on the west wall, shows Saint Helena. She is depicted finding the "True Cross," which is an important symbol in Christianity. These panels are special because they haven't been changed much over time.
