A Career in Studying Cultures

In 1998, Alla Ter-Sarkisiants received the title of Doctor of Historical Sciences. This was for her important research called "The Armenians: History and Ethno-Cultural Traditions." This work helped people understand the history and traditions of the Armenian people.

From 1978 to 1989, she worked as the science secretary for the N. N. Miklukho-Maklai Institute of Ethnology and Anthropology. In this role, she helped manage and guide scientific projects.
