Allen is a small, unincorporated community located in Natchitoches Parish, Louisiana, in the United States. An unincorporated community means it's a place with a shared identity but without its own local government. It's not officially a city or town.
You can find Allen about 11 miles northwest of the city of Natchitoches. It's easy to get there, as it's close to where Interstate 49 (exit 148) meets Louisiana Highway 485.
What is Allen?
Allen is considered part of the Natchitoches Micropolitan Statistical Area. This is a fancy way of saying it's connected to a larger city (Natchitoches) that has a population between 10,000 and 50,000 people. These areas include the main city and the smaller communities around it that are closely linked by jobs and daily life.
