Allyn Bromley's Art Style
Allyn Bromley mainly creates art using a method called screen printing. This is a technique where ink is pushed through a screen onto paper or fabric. Since the late 1980s, she has also started mixing screen printing with other art forms. She combines it with painting, drawing, and collaging, which is when you stick different materials together to make a picture.
What is Mixed-Media Art?
Her artwork Breakfast Buddha, created in 2004, is a great example of her mixed-media prints. In many of her portraits, like Breakfast Buddha, she focuses on the outline or shape of the person. She often keeps the details of the face very simple or minimal.
