Alma is a small place in Oregon, United States. It used to be an "unincorporated community." This means it was a group of homes and buildings that wasn't officially a town or city. It is located in Lane County, near the Siuslaw River. Alma is about 22 miles (35 km) west-southwest of a bigger city called Eugene.
For a while, Alma was home to a special work camp. People worked there for Lane County. In 2008, a group called Veterans Legacy Oregon bought the camp. They turned it into a place where military veterans can get help and support.
