Almah (עַלְמָה ‘almā, plural: עֲלָמוֹת ‘ălāmōṯ is a Hebrew word for a young woman of childbearing age. It is often used to refer to a woman who has not yet borne a child. It occurs nine times in the Hebrew Bible.
