Alonzo Bodden, born on June 13, 1962, is a funny American stand-up comedian. He is also an actor and a writer. In 2004, he won the TV show Last Comic Standing on NBC. He had been the runner-up in the show's second season earlier that year.
Alonzo released his first comedy album in 2001. He also had a special TV show and a DVD in 2005. Since 2010, he has often been a guest on NPR's radio quiz show Wait Wait... Don't Tell Me!. He has also worked as a host and helper for the news group The Young Turks.

Alonzo Bodden's Early Life
Alonzo Bodden grew up in St. Albans, a neighborhood in Queens, New York. His mother was African American, and his father was Afro-Honduran.
He went to Aviation High School in Long Island City, Queens. After school, in the early 1990s, he worked for big companies like Lockheed Martin and McDonnell Douglas. He worked in their training departments.

Alonzo Bodden got his big start at the Just for Laughs festival in Montreal. This helped him get many chances to be on TV shows. He has hosted the Just for Laughs festival in Bermuda more than twelve times.

In 2010, he had a motorcycle accident while racing. He broke a bone in his wrist, which needed surgery to fix.
On March 26, 2013, Alonzo showed how much he cares for his family. He donated a kidney to his older brother.
