Alonzo Bradley was chosen to play in the NBA in 1977. This happened during an event called the 1977 NBA draft. The NBA draft is where professional basketball teams pick new players from colleges or other leagues.

Joining the NBA

The Indiana Pacers picked Alonzo in the second round. He was the 29th player chosen overall that year. After being drafted, he went on to play for the Houston Rockets. He played for the Rockets from 1977 to 1980. During his time with the Rockets, he played in 99 games.

Moving to a New Team

Later, Alonzo was chosen by the Dallas Mavericks in something called an "Expansion Draft." An Expansion Draft happens when a new team joins a league. They get to pick players from other teams to build their own roster.
