Alonzo Bradley is a former American basketball player. He was born on October 16, 1953, in Utica, Mississippi. He played college basketball for Texas Southern University before joining the professional league.

Alonzo Bradley's Basketball Journey

Alonzo Bradley started his basketball journey in college. He played for Hinds Community College from 1973 to 1975. After that, he played for Texas Southern University from 1975 to 1977. While playing for Texas Southern, he was named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the 1977 NAIA tournament. This award showed he was a very talented player.

Joining the NBA

In 1977, Alonzo Bradley was chosen in the 1977 NBA draft. The Indiana Pacers picked him in the second round, as the 29th player overall. This was a big step for him to play in the National Basketball Association (NBA).

After being drafted, he played for the Houston Rockets. He was with the Rockets from 1977 to 1980. During his time in the NBA, he played in 99 games. He was known as a Small forward. Later, he was also picked by the Dallas Mavericks in an Expansion Draft.
