Alpuri (Urdu: الپوری, Pashto: الپوری) is an important town in Pakistan. It is the capital of Shangla District. This district is part of the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province.
Alpuri is located at coordinates 34°54′00″N 72°39′00″E / 34.90000°N 72.65000°E. It sits high up, about 1587 meters above sea level. The town is known for its cool weather in summer. In winter, it often gets snowfall, which is very beautiful.
Alpuri is a central place for local people. It has a main hospital for the district. There are also several private hospitals, like Mansoor Doctors' Hospital. This makes it a hub for healthcare in the area. Many government offices are also found here. These include the District Police Officer's office and the Deputy Commissioner's office.
