Alvester Alexander's Football Journey
Alvester Alexander started his professional football journey in 2012. He was not chosen in the main player draft, so he signed with the Chicago Bears as an undrafted free agent. This means a team can sign a player who wasn't picked by any team during the official draft.
Playing for Different Teams
After a short time with the Bears, Alexander joined the Indianapolis Colts in August 2012. Later that year, in December, he moved to the Tennessee Titans.
In August 2013, he signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He spent the entire 2013 season on their practice squad. A practice squad is a group of players who train with the team but usually do not play in games. They help the main team practice and can be called up if needed.
Alexander stayed with the Steelers through 2014. In 2015, he signed with the Ottawa Redblacks, a team in the Canadian Football League (CFL). He also played in The Spring League in 2017, which is a development league for football players.
