Alvin B. Jackson is a former politician from the United States. He served as a Senator for Utah State's 14th district. He is a member of the Republican Party.

Governor Gary Herbert chose Alvin Jackson to fill a vacant seat. This happened when John Valentine resigned to lead the Utah Tax Commission. Jackson himself resigned in July 2016. He left to take a job outside of Utah. Daniel Hemmert was then chosen to replace him.

After finishing his MBA, Jackson joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. A year later, he married his wife, Juleen. She grew up in Utah. For a time, Jackson served as a bishop in his church.

Alvin Jackson has worked as a consultant for most of his life. He now leads his own company, the Jackson Group. This company helps businesses with leadership and growth. Before moving to Utah, Jackson worked in Washington, DC. He advised on national security and transportation. He was also a vice president for Insitu, a company owned by Boeing.

Alvin's son, Frank Jackson, is a professional basketball player. He played for Duke University. He was chosen in the 2017 NBA draft. He currently plays for the Shanxi Loongs in China. Since 2006, Jackson has also been a member of the BYU Marriott School's National Advisory Council.
