Franklin Willis Jackson (born May 4, 1998) is an American professional basketball player. He currently plays for the Jiangsu Dragons in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA). Before becoming a pro, he played college basketball for the Duke Blue Devils.

High School Basketball Journey
Starting Out Strong
Frank Jackson started high school at Lehi High School in Lehi, Utah. Later, he moved to Lone Peak High School in Highland, Utah. In 2014, as a sophomore, he scored about 17.9 points per game. He helped his team win the Utah 5A state championship that year.
Rising Star in Junior Year
During his junior year, Frank was amazing on the court. He averaged 26.9 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 2.0 steals per game. He earned many honors, including being named to the Fourth-team Maxpreps All-American.
In the summer of 2015, Frank showed off his skills at the Under Armour Elite 24 event in New York City. He scored 20 points and was named Co-MVP. He even made a cool 360-degree dunk during a fast break! He once scored a record-breaking 54 points in a single game. His coach even said he was "more skilled at this age than what Russell Westbrook was."
Senior Year Highlights
Frank continued to shine in his senior year. He scored 38 points in one game and 49 points in another. He averaged 28.1 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 3.0 assists per game. He was named Utah Mr. Basketball and the Salt Lake Tribune player of the year.
In January 2016, Frank was chosen as a McDonald's All-American. He won the Slam Dunk Competition and was Co-MVP in the all-star game. Experts rated him as a top-ten basketball prospect for his graduating class.
Choosing a College Team
Many top colleges wanted Frank to play for them. These included Duke, Arizona, and UCLA. He first committed to BYU but later changed his mind. On September 1, 2015, Frank decided to play for Duke University.
College Basketball Career
Frank Jackson played one season for the Duke Blue Devils. In his first game on November 11, 2016, he scored 18 points. He quickly earned the "Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) freshman of the week" award.
He had several great games, scoring 17, 19, and 15 points in different wins. On February 28, he scored a season-high 22 points against Florida State. He also helped Duke win the ACC Tournament championship.
In his only year at Duke, Frank started 16 out of 36 games. He averaged 10.9 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 1.7 assists per game. He shot well from both two-point and three-point range. After this successful season, he decided to leave college early to become a professional player.
Professional Basketball Career
Starting in the NBA
On June 22, 2017, the Charlotte Hornets picked Frank as the 31st player in the NBA draft. He was then traded to the New Orleans Pelicans. He signed with the Pelicans in July 2017. Unfortunately, he had foot surgery twice and missed his first season.
Frank made his NBA debut on October 17, 2018, playing for the Pelicans against the Houston Rockets. He scored a career-high 17 points against the Memphis Grizzlies on January 7, 2019. Later, he topped that with 25 points against the San Antonio Spurs. He continued to play well, scoring 21 points against the Denver Nuggets and 23 points against the Los Angeles Clippers in 2019.
Playing for the Detroit Pistons
In December 2020, Frank signed with the Detroit Pistons. He played well for them and signed a two-year contract extension in August 2021. In June 2022, the Pistons decided not to keep him, making him a free agent.
Journey Through Different Leagues
After leaving the Pistons, Frank joined the Salt Lake City Stars in the NBA G League. He was even chosen for the G League's first "Next Up Game" in 2023. On February 22, 2023, he signed a short contract with the Utah Jazz in the NBA.
Later in 2023, Frank moved to France to play for LDLC ASVEL in the French league and the EuroLeague. He averaged 10.3 points in six EuroLeague games. In November 2023, he joined the Shanxi Loongs in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA). He also played for Nanterre 92 in France in 2024.
Currently, Frank Jackson plays for the Jiangsu Dragons in the CBA, starting in November 2024.

Personal Life
Frank Jackson is the son of Al Jackson, who was a state senator in Utah. Frank is the second oldest of five children. He is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He has lived in different states like Oregon and Maryland. His father used to work as a lobbyist, helping the aerospace industry. Frank currently lives in Sundance, Utah.
