Alyah Chanelle Scott (born July 3, 1997) is an American actress, director, and producer. She is famous for her roles as Whitney Chase in the HBO Max series The ... Lives of College Girls and Timberly Fox in the Hulu series Reboot.
As a producer, Alyah won a prestigious Tony Award for helping bring the musical Parade back to Broadway in 2023.

Early Life and School
Alyah Chanelle Scott grew up in Pearland, Texas, which is a city near Houston. Her mother is an aerospace engineer at NASA, which means she helps design and build spacecraft. Her father works in the finance department of a car company. Alyah graduated from Glenda Dawson High School in 2015.
After high school, she went to the University of Michigan. She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in musical theatre.
Career Journey
Acting on Stage and Screen
During her summer breaks from college, Alyah performed in shows at Music Theatre Wichita. She appeared in musicals like The Hunchback of Notre Dame and Pippin.
While she was still in her last year of college, she got a huge role. She was cast as Nabulungi, the main female character in the U.S. national tour of the musical The Book of Mormon. She started the tour in July 2019 and performed in hundreds of shows. The tour had to stop in early 2020 because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
In 2021, Alyah became a TV star. She played Whitney Chase in the HBO Max show The ... Lives of College Girls, created by Mindy Kaling. The show was a big hit and was renewed for more seasons. She also had a role as Timberly Fox in the Hulu series Reboot, which came out in 2022.
Producing Shows
Besides acting, Alyah is also a producer. A producer helps make a show happen by organizing things and finding funding. In 2023, she was a co-producer for the Broadway revival of the musical Parade. For this work, she won a Tony Award, which is one of the highest honors in theatre.
That same year, she was also nominated for a Tony Award for co-producing a new version of the play A Doll's House.
Her other producing work includes the Broadway shows The Sign in Sidney Brustein's Window, Gutenberg! The Musical!, and the 2024 revival of The Wiz.
Directing Music Videos
Alyah has also worked as a director. She directed two music videos for her friend and singer Reneé Rapp. She directed the videos for the songs "Talk Too Much" and "Snow Angel" in 2023.
