Alyssa Ann Lagonia, born on June 30, 1989, is a Canadian former professional soccer player. She was a talented midfielder who played for many clubs. These included Servette Chênois in Switzerland. She also proudly played for the Canadian national team. Before that, she played for teams like Apollon Ladies in Cyprus and Bardolino Verona in Italy. She also played in England for Doncaster Rovers Belles. In North America, she played for Toronto Lady Lynx and Ottawa Fury in the W-League.

Playing Career Highlights
Early Club Teams
Alyssa Lagonia started her journey in the W-League. From 2008 to 2011, she played for two different teams. These were the Toronto Lady Lynx and the Ottawa Fury.
In March 2012, Alyssa took a big step in her career. She signed a professional contract with Doncaster Rovers Belles in England. The next year, in January 2013, she moved to Italy. There, she joined the Italian club Bardolino Verona.
After her time in Italy, Alyssa continued to play in Europe. She joined Neunkirch, a Swiss club. Later, she played for Apollon Ladies F.C. in the Cypriot First Division in Cyprus.
Playing for Servette Chênois
In 2019, Alyssa Lagonia signed a contract with Servette Chênois. This is another club in Switzerland. She played for them until July 2022.
In July 2022, Alyssa announced that she was retiring from playing soccer. However, she continued to work for UEFA. UEFA is the organization that runs European football. Her job was at their headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland.
International Games for Canada
Alyssa Lagonia also represented her home country, Canada. She made her first appearance for the senior Canadian national team in March 2009. This game was against New Zealand. It took place during the Cyprus Cup tournament.
