Amanda Cottreau is a talented Canadian singer and songwriter. She creates folk and traditional music. Amanda lives in Ottawa, Ontario. She is known for her beautiful songs and has been making music since 1998. She is also a member of the Songwriters Association of Canada. In 2015, she reached round 2 of the CBC Searchlight contest with her song Lady Lover. She was also a featured singer on another song called Little Bird.
Her Musical Journey
Amanda Cottreau began her music career in Kingston, Ontario. From 1998 to 2003, she sang lead background vocals in a worship band. After that, she started working with Ryan Potter, a musician and producer from Ottawa.
In November 2010, Amanda released her very first solo album. It was called Universe in a Soft Shell. Two years later, in 2012, one of the songs from this album became famous. The song, Couldn't Wait, was featured on the popular TV series Degrassi: The Next Generation.
Amanda has performed many shows across Canada. She has sung in over one hundred concerts. These performances took place in Ontario, Quebec, and Nova Scotia. She often performed with other artists like Lucila Al Mar, JustJamaal, and Raymundo Pizana.
