Amanda Charlene Obdam (born June 17, 1993) is a talented Thai-Canadian actress, model, and beauty queen. She became famous after winning the title of Miss Universe Thailand 2020. Amanda then represented Thailand at the big Miss Universe 2020 competition in Hollywood, Florida. She did very well, making it into the Top 10 finalists!

Amanda Obdam's Life Story
Her Early Life and School
Amanda Charlene Obdam was born on June 17, 1993, in Phuket, Thailand. Her mother is Thai-Chinese, and her father is Dutch-Canadian.
She went to school in Phuket, where she studied in English programs at Satree Phuket School and the British International School, Phuket. After finishing school, Amanda moved to Toronto, Canada. There, she attended the University of Toronto Mississauga. In 2015, she graduated with excellent grades, earning a degree in Economics, Business Administration, and Management.
Becoming a Beauty Queen
Amanda started her journey in beauty pageants in 2015. Her first big competition was Miss Thailand World 2015, where she made it into the top ten.
After that, she competed in Miss Grand Phuket 2016 and won! This win allowed her to represent Phuket Province in Miss Grand Thailand 2016. She again placed in the top ten and also won a special award called Miss Rising Star.
Winning Big Titles
Following her success at Miss Grand Thailand, Amanda was chosen to represent Thailand at the Miss Tourism Metropolitan International 2016 pageant in Cambodia. She won this competition, adding another crown to her achievements!
In 2020, Amanda became a contestant in Miss Universe Thailand 2020. She quickly became a favorite to win. She won a special title called Miss Prissana before the main event. She was also one of five contestants to receive a "golden tiara" and earned a special spot in the top twenty through a speech wildcard.
The finals were held on October 10, 2020, in Bangkok. Amanda kept moving forward through each round of the competition. In the end, she won the main title and was crowned by the previous winner, Paweensuda Drouin. Amanda was the second person in a row with Thai-Canadian roots to win this title.
Amanda then went on to represent Thailand at the 69th Miss Universe competition. This big event took place on May 16, 2021, at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida, USA. She did an amazing job and finished in the Top 10!
