Growing Up and School
Amber Hall was born in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. She grew up in Vancouver, British Columbia. Amber went to Britannia Secondary School in Vancouver. She is the only person from Vancouver to ever play in the WNBA. This makes her a special athlete from her hometown.
College Basketball Days
Amber Hall played college basketball for the University of Washington. She played there from 1995 to 1999. During her time at Washington, she became a very strong player. In her final regular season game in 1999, she set a new record. Amber became Washington's all-time leading rebounder. This means she grabbed more missed shots than anyone else in the team's history. She was also named to the First-team All-Pac-10 twice. This was in both 1998 and 1999.
Playing Professionally
After college, Amber Hall became a professional basketball player. She played in the WNBA. This is the highest level of women's professional basketball in the United States. Amber played for the Portland Fire team. She played 20 games for them in 2002. The Portland Fire was the only team Amber played for in a regular WNBA season game.
