Amerikiwhati Island is a small, uninhabited island located in New Zealand. It's found in the Marlborough region, which is a beautiful area at the top of the South Island.
This tiny island sits within Queen Charlotte Sound, a large and scenic body of water. It's like a natural extension of a ridge that divides two bays on Arapaoa Island: Ahitarakihi Bay and Waikakaramea Bay.
Amerikiwhati Island is quite small, measuring about 300 meters long and 70 meters wide. To give you an idea, that's roughly the length of three football fields! Because it's uninhabited, it remains a natural spot in the Marlborough Sounds.
