Amir Ishemgulov (Russian: Амир Минниахметович Ишемгулов; 22 May 1960 – 29 October 2020) was an important Russian biologist and politician. He was from the Bashkir ethnic group. He earned a high scientific degree called Doktor nauk (Doctor of Sciences) and became a professor. He was well-known for his work in beekeeping and apitherapy, which is using bee products for health.

Early Life and School

Amir Ishemgulov was born on 22 May 1960. His birthplace was Bashkortostan, a region in RSFSR, which was part of the Soviet Union at that time.

He was related to a famous writer named Zainab Biisheva, who helped raise him. In 1984, he finished his studies with top honors from the Bashkortostan Institute of Agricultural Sciences.

His Career and Work

Amir Ishemgulov held many important roles. He was the head of the executive committee for the World Qoroltai of the Bashkirs. This is a large gathering or congress for the Bashkir people, where they discuss important matters.

He also served as the Director General of the Research Center for Beekeeping and Apitherapy of The Republic of Bashkortostan. This center studies bees and how bee products can be used to help people's health.

Becoming a Professor and Scientist

In 1998, Ishemgulov became the Director of the Research Center for Beekeeping and Apitherapy. He was key in starting this important center. In 2005, he earned his high scientific degree, Doktor nauk, which is like a very advanced doctorate. The next year, in 2006, he became a professor. He taught at his old university, which is now called Bashkir State Agrarian University.

In 2012, he was considered for a special position at the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Bashkortostan. This shows how respected he was in the scientific community.

Working in Politics

In 2013, he was chosen to be a member of the State Assembly of the Republic of Bashkortostan. This is like being a member of the local parliament or government body for the region. He was part of the political party called "United Russia".

He was also recognized as an Honored Man of Agriculture for the Republic of Bashkortostan. This award showed his important contributions to farming and agriculture in the region.

Later Life and Passing

Amir Ishemgulov was married and had a daughter. He passed away on 29 October 2020, at the age of 60, after being ill for some time.
