Amir Sayoud's Football Journey

Early Years and Youth Teams

Amir Sayoud was born in Guelma, Algeria. He started playing football in 2002 with a local youth club called Nasr El Fedjoudj. After that, he played for Rapid de Guelma and ES Guelma. His skills quickly grew, and he later joined ES Sétif, another well-known club.

While at ES Sétif, Amir saw a TV ad for tryouts for a special football school called the 'Play Maker Academy' in Egypt. He decided to give it a shot! Out of 80 players trying out, Amir was one of the top 5 chosen. He then went to train with 108 other young players from across the Arab world.

After four months of hard training, only 35 players were selected to stay at the academy. Amir was one of them! He continued to train and play in matches, and he was even chosen as the best player in his group. Many big clubs noticed his talent, including Al-Ahly and Ismaily from Egypt, and clubs from the United Arab Emirates. Amir decided to sign a four-year contract with Al-Ahli Dubai.

Playing for Al-Ahly

Joining a Top Club

On June 23, 2009, Al-Ahly, a very famous Egyptian club, signed Amir Sayoud to a five-year contract. This was a big step in his career!

Amir made his first team debut on September 11, 2009. He came into the game as a substitute for another player in the 75th minute. Even though he only played for 10 minutes, he was very excited. He said he was looking forward to playing more and wanted to show his coaches that they made a good choice.

Loan Spells and Return

In January 2010, Amir was loaned to Kuwaiti club Al Arabi for a short time. He played in six league games and scored one goal. He also helped Al Arabi reach the final of the 2010 Kuwait Crown Prince Cup.

After his loan, Amir returned to Al-Ahly. He continued to work hard and play for the team. In September 2011, he was loaned out again, this time to Ismaily SC in Egypt. He made his debut for Ismaily in an Egyptian Cup match, where he helped his team score a goal in a big 4–0 win.

Later, in July 2015, Amir signed with DRB Tadjenanet, a club that had just been promoted to the top league in Algeria.

Moving to Al-Raed

On July 8, 2023, Amir Sayoud joined Al-Raed in Saudi Arabia. He moved there as a free agent after playing for Al-Tai. He continues to play for Al-Raed today.

Playing for His Country

Amir Sayoud has also played for his home country, Algeria. On June 3, 2011, he made his first official appearance for the Algeria national under-23 team. This was during a qualifying game for the 2012 Summer Olympics. Amir started the game and helped his team win 3–0 by setting up two goals! He was also part of Algeria's squad for the 2011 CAF U-23 Championship.

He has also played for the senior Algeria national team, representing his country at the highest level.
