Amunda is a cool rock band that started way back in 1985. They are from Alice Springs, Australia. Their name, Amunda, comes from the Arrernte word 'Mbantua'. This word means 'meeting place'. It's linked to a special spring near Heavitree Gap in the MacDonnell Ranges at Alice Springs.

The band has played at many big music events. In 1992, they performed at the Adelaide Fringe Festival. They also played at the Port Fairy Folk Festival in 1995.
