Amy Ridge is an Australian water polo player. She was born on August 15, 1996, in Sydney. Amy is a key member of the Australia women's national water polo team. This team is also known as the "Aussie Stingers."

Playing for Australia

Amy Ridge has played in many important international water polo competitions. She was part of the Australian team at the 2017 World Aquatics Championships. She also competed in the 2018 FINA World Cup.

In 2019, Amy played in the 2019 World Aquatics Championships. She also joined the team for the 2019 FINA Women's Water Polo World League. These events are big tournaments where countries compete against each other.

College Water Polo

Before playing for the national team, Amy played water polo for her universities. She played for the University of New South Wales's water polo team in Australia.

She also played for the University of Michigan's women's water polo team in the United States. Playing in college helped her become a stronger player.

The Tokyo Olympics

Amy Ridge was chosen to be part of the Australian Stingers squad for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. These Olympic Games took place in 2021.

The Aussie Stingers played very well in their group. They finished second, which meant they moved on to the quarterfinals. In the quarterfinals, they played a very close game against Russia. Russia won the game 9-8. Because of this close loss, the Australian team did not get to compete for an Olympic medal.
