Ana Lilian de la Macorra Apéllaniz (born on November 27, 1957) is a Mexican psychologist. She also worked as a producer and actress. She was famous for her role as Paty in the popular Mexican TV show El Chavo del Ocho. She also worked on El Chapulín Colorado in the late 1970s.

Early Life and TV Career
Ana Lilian de la Macorra was born in Mexico City, Mexico, on November 27, 1957. When she was a child, she loved animals, books, and music. As a teenager, she worked in different jobs. She was a nurse, a receptionist, and a secretary.
Working at Televisa
Ana Lilian started working at Televisa as a production assistant. This was after she lost her job while studying at university. Later, she became an editor for the TV shows El Chavo del Ocho and El Chapulín Colorado.
In 1978, the show's creator, Chespirito, wrote three new episodes. These episodes needed two new characters: Aunt Gloria and her niece Paty. Ana Lilian was in charge of finding actresses for these roles. However, none of the actresses seemed right for the part of Paty. Chespirito then offered the role to Ana Lilian herself. He thought she looked like a young girl and resembled the actress playing Aunt Gloria.
Playing Paty
Ana Lilian de la Macorra became the third actress to play the role of Paty. She appeared in three episodes of El Chavo del Ocho called "The New Neighbors" in 1978. People loved her in the role. Because of this, her appearances were extended. She acted in a total of twelve episodes between 1978 and 1979. This made her the most remembered Paty by fans of the show.
Most of her scenes were at the school. But she was also seen in the neighborhood and at Doña Florinda's restaurant. Ana Lilian also sang in two songs for El Chavo del Ocho. One was "That, that, that" in the 1979 episode "Valentine's Day Part 1". The other was "Cri Crí," which appeared at the end of the episode "Children's Day" in 1979.
Leaving the Show
Ana Lilian made her last appearance in late 1979. This was in the episode "Dreaming at the Restaurant." She decided to leave acting because she did not want to be an actress. She continued to work in the production area until 1980. She then decided to study psychology in the United States. Also, her first child was born in 1981.
Ana Lilian was good friends with Luis Felipe Macias. He was the one who offered her the job as a production assistant at Televisa. She was also close friends with Paco Peña. She said that the atmosphere on the show was very "neat and respectful." She was also friends with Edgar Vivar. They met again in 2015, more than 35 years later, thanks to a TV show in Brazil.
Later Life and Career
For many years, not much was known about Ana Lilian de la Macorra. Then, in December 2012, a TV show from Peru found her in Mexico City. She now lives with her partner and has two children. She works as a psychologist in Mexico City. She also writes articles about psychology for different magazines and newspapers.
After working at Televisa, Ana Lilian moved to Cleveland. While in college, she sold British encyclopedias door-to-door. She studied psychology and earned her master's degree in psychotherapy in Baltimore. After finishing her studies, she worked in state psychological care clinics in the United States. Later, she decided to return to Mexico. She has been working in her own office in Mexico City ever since.
After being found by the TV show in 2012, Ana Lilian gave many interviews. She was invited to visit several countries, including Brazil. In 2014, Ana Lilian de la Macorra published a book called Hondos los suspiros.
