Ana Cláudia Moura Pereira (born September 17, 1979), known as Ana Moura, is a famous Portuguese singer. She sings a special type of music called fado. Ana Moura is known around the world. She was the youngest fado singer to be nominated for a Dutch Edison Award, which is a big music prize.

Early Life and Music Journey
Ana Moura was born in Santarém, Portugal. She also lived in Coruche and Carcavelos as a child. Her family has roots in Portugal and Angola.
Ana Moura released her first album, Guarda-me a Vida na Mão, in 2003. Her second album, Aconteceu, came out in 2004. She started singing in clubs in Lisbon and became known on TV. She performed fado with another singer, António Pinto Basto.
Her album Para Além da Saudade (2007) became very popular. It included songs like "Os Buzios." This album helped her become more widely known in Portugal. It sold over 45,000 copies, earning a triple platinum award. The album stayed on the Top 30 chart in Portugal for 78 weeks.
In 2007, something amazing happened: Ana Moura sang with the legendary band Rolling Stones. She joined them in concert in Lisbon and sang "No Expectations" with Mick Jagger.
After successful concerts in Porto and Lisbon, Ana Moura released her first live DVD in 2008. She also received an award for "best performance Amalia" in 2008. In 2009, the famous musician Prince said he was a fan of fado. He even traveled to Lisbon in 2011 because he wanted to work with Ana Moura.

Her fifth album, Desfado, came out in 2012. It was produced by Larry Klein, who also worked with Joni Mitchell. This album was a huge success. It reached number one in Portugal and stayed on the charts for a very long time. It became the best-selling album of the 2010s by a Portuguese artist.
In 2015, Ana Moura released her sixth album, Moura. This album also reached number one in Portugal. It featured 13 Portuguese songs and one English song, a cover of "Lilac Wine." She also sang a duet with Omara Portuondo from the Buena Vista Social Club on the song "Eu Entrego." Her most recent album, Casa Guilhermina, was released in 2022.

Ana Moura became a mother in May 2022. She had a daughter with musician Pedro Mafama.
