Ananta Jalil's Early Life and Education
Ananta Jalil was born in Munshiganj, Bangladesh, on April 17, 1978. When he was five years old, his mother passed away. He and his older brother were raised by their father. Ananta studied at St. Joseph Higher Secondary School in Dhaka. He completed his O-levels and A-levels there. Later, he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree. He got this degree from Manchester University in the UK.
His Journey in Business
Ananta Jalil started his career in 1999. He worked as a production general manager. After some time, he opened his own small clothing factory. This factory grew into a large company called AJI Group. In 2014, the Bangladesh government recognized him. They named him a CIP, which means a Commercially Important Person. This was for his great contributions to the Ready-Made Garment industry.
Ananta Jalil's Film Career
Ananta Jalil began his acting and producing career in 2010. His first movie was Khoj: The Search. This film also introduced Barsha and Bobby to the big screen. After Khoj: The Search, he released Hridoy Bhanga Dheu in 2011.
In 2012, Ananta starred in two movies. These were The Speed and Most Welcome. Both movies were very popular and funny. They helped him become well-known in the Bangladeshi cinema world. In The Speed, he acted alongside two international actresses. They were Parveen from Malaysia and Nana from Russia. His second movie, Most Welcome, came out during Eid.
In 2013, his only movie release was Nishwartha Bhalobasa. This film was special because Ananta directed it himself for the first time. It was even shown at the 66th Cannes Film Festival. In 2014, he released Most Welcome 2. This was a sequel to his popular 2012 movie. His movie Din–The Day was released on July 10, 2022. It was directed by Iranian director Morteza Atashzamzam.
Ananta Jalil is also the brand ambassador for Grameenphone. This is a big phone company in Bangladesh.
Ananta Jalil's Family Life
Ananta Jalil married Afiea Nusrat Barsha on September 23, 2011. Barsha used to be a model and actress. She is now the managing director of Monsoon Films. Ananta and Barsha have two sons together. Their names are Ariz Ibn Jalil and Abrar Ibn Jalil.
