Anastasia Griffith (born 23 March 1978) is a British actress. She is well-known for her roles in TV shows like Damages, Once Upon a Time, and Copper. She has also appeared in movies such as Alfie.
Early Life and Learning
Anastasia Griffith was born in Paris, France. Her mother was from Northern Ireland, and her father was from the United States. She grew up in west London with her six older brothers. One of her brothers, Jamie Bamber, is also an actor.
She went to the University of Bristol and earned a degree in the History of Art. After that, she trained to be an actress at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art.
Her Acting Journey
Anastasia Griffith started her acting career in 2004. Her first role was in a TV movie called She's Gone. In the same year, she appeared in other projects, including the TV movie Dirty Filthy Love and the comedy film Alfie.
In 2007, she got a big role as Katie Connor in the TV series Damages. She had just moved to New York City and got the part after a last-minute audition. Even though she is British, she played an American character. She spoke in an American accent throughout her audition to show she could do it! She returned for the second season of Damages in 2009.
She also appeared in episodes of popular shows like Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and New Amsterdam. From 2009 to 2010, she was a main character, Nancy Carnahan, in the medical drama Trauma.
Later, she joined the cast of Royal Pains as Dr. Emily Peck in 2010. In 2011, she played Ivy Rose in the TV movie And Baby Will Fall.
Anastasia Griffith also played Elizabeth Haverford Morehouse in the BBC America series Copper. She played an English wife of a rich businessman.
From 2011 to 2014, she was in the first season of ABC's Once Upon a Time. In this show, she played two characters: Kathryn Nolan in Storybrooke and her fairytale self, Princess Abigail. More recently, she had a main role in the TV series Deep State from 2018 to 2019.
