Starting in 2003, Jamie Bamber played Lee 'Apollo' Adama in the new Battlestar Galactica. This show began as a short series and then became a full TV show in 2004. It was shown on the US Sci Fi Channel, which is now called Syfy.
The show was very popular and won many awards. Jamie was even nominated for an award for his acting in Battlestar Galactica in 2004. In the show, Jamie spoke with an American accent. People often say his accent was very accurate. He learned it from his father, who is American. He also dyed his hair darker to look more like Edward James Olmos, who played his character's father.
