About the Geminisae Poison-Dart Frog
This small frog is usually about 11 to 13 millimeters long. That's about half an inch! It has a bright chrome orange color. Its feet do not have any webbing, which is different from many other frogs. Female frogs are usually a little bit bigger than the males.
Where They Live
The A. geminisae frog lives in thick, green rainforests. These special frogs can only be found in the country of Panama. They need the wet and warm environment of the rainforest to survive.
How They Behave and Reproduce
The call of this tiny amphibian sounds like a buzz. It's how they communicate with each other. When it's time to lay their eggs, these frogs use leaves that are shaped like cups. These leaves collect water, making a perfect little pool for the eggs to grow in.
