Andre Lamond Adams (born March 11, 1970), known as Andre Nickatina, is an American rapper. He is from San Francisco, California. Before using the name Andre Nickatina, he was known as Dre Dog.

Personal life
Andre Adams was born on March 11, 1970. He grew up in the Fillmore District of San Francisco.
Musical career
Andre Nickatina started his music career in 1993. At first, he used the name Dre Dog. He released two albums as Dre Dog. These were The New Jim Jones in 1993 and I Hate You With a Passion in 1995. His album I Hate You With a Passion did well on the Billboard charts. It reached #79 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. It also hit #3 on the Heatseekers chart.
Later, he changed his stage name to Andre Nickatina. He said this change was "for the better." He also started his own record label, Filmoe Coleman Records.
His next albums became very popular in the underground rap scene. These included Tears of a Clown (1999) and Daiquiri Factory: ... Raps, Vol. 2 (2000). Music critics noticed his quick rapping style.
In 2003, he released Conversation with a Devil. This project included both a CD and a movie. In 2005, he released another album called The Gift. That same year, a local newspaper called him the "Best Local Hip Hop Legend."
Andre Nickatina also worked with other artists. He collaborated with Equipto on several albums. These included "Horns and Halos" in 2005. In 2008, he released A Tale of Two Andres with Mac Dre. This album was a tribute to his friend Mac Dre.
His self-titled album in 2013 was very successful. It reached #46 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. It also hit #12 on the Heatseekers Albums chart. This made it his most popular album so far.
In 2020, Andre Nickatina launched his own line of sneakers. They were called "Killer Whales." He also appeared on a song called "Fog Mode" by rapper Dregs One.
