Andrea Lynn Evans (born June 18, 1957 – died July 9, 2023) was an American actress and producer. She was best known for playing Tina Lord on the ABC soap opera One Life to Live. She played this role from 1978 to 1981 and again from 1985 to 1990. She also returned for short times in 2008 and 2011. Evans also appeared in other popular soap operas like The Young and the Restless, The Bold and the Beautiful, and Passions.

Career Highlights
Early Life and First Roles
Andrea Evans was born in Aurora, Illinois, on June 18, 1957. When she was a child, she took part in beauty pageants. She also acted in local theater shows and commercials. She finished high school early and went to the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
In 1978, Evans was an extra in the movie The Fury. In the same year, she appeared in the TV miniseries The Awakening Land. Soon after, she got the role of Tina Clayton on the ABC daytime soap opera One Life to Live. She stayed on the show until 1981.
Becoming a Soap Opera Star
From 1983 to 1984, Evans played Patty Williams on The Young and the Restless. Patty was Paul Williams' younger sister.
Evans went back to One Life to Live in 1985. Her return helped make the show very popular again. Tina became one of the most loved characters. In 1988, she was nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award. This award was for being an outstanding young actress in a drama series. Evans was also featured on the cover of Soap Opera Digest magazine five times. She appeared on the cover every year from 1986 to 1990.
In 1990, Evans left One Life to Live suddenly. She stayed out of the public eye for almost ten years.
Later Career and Other Projects
During the 1990s, Evans acted in two movies. She had a small part in A Low Down Dirty Shame in 1994. She also had a bigger role in Ice Cream Man in 1995.
In 1999, Evans returned to TV. She played Tawny, the mother of Amber Moore, on The Bold and the Beautiful. She stayed until 2000. That same year, she joined the NBC soap opera Passions. She played Rebecca Hotchkiss Crane until the show ended in 2008.
Because she appeared often on Passions, many people hoped she would return to One Life to Live. In 2008, ABC announced that Evans would indeed return as Tina. She appeared on screen again on June 11, 2008. The show's producer, Frank Valentini, said fans had asked for her return a lot. Evans' return was planned to be short. Her life and family were in California, but One Life to Live filmed in New York City. Her last appearance was on November 25, 2008.
In 2010, Evans returned to The Young and the Restless for one episode. She played Tawny Moore, her character from The Bold and the Beautiful. She also returned to The Bold and the Beautiful as Tawny later that year. While still on B&B, Evans played Tina again on One Life to Live in 2011. This was as the show was ending. Her character, Tina, got back together with her popular TV partner, Cord Roberts. They remarried on November 15, 2011.
In 2012, Evans had a supporting role in the movie Hit List. In 2013, she joined the web series DeVanity as Vivian Price. She was nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award in 2015 for her role. She also won an Indie Series Award for Best Guest Actress in a Drama that same year.
Evans was also a producer for the documentary Rocking the Couch, which came out in 2018.
Personal Life and Death
Andrea Evans was briefly married to her One Life to Live co-star Wayne Massey in 1981. He played Johnny Drummond on the show. Evans married Los Angeles attorney Stephen Rodriguez on January 10, 1998. They adopted a daughter in 2004.
Andrea Evans passed away from breast cancer at her home in Pasadena, California, on July 9, 2023. She was 66 years old.
